A great way to introduce your child to music.  Small enough for a toddler's hands, but also enjoyed by adults, these sticks will be a "hit" in your family.

 

Claves (klah-veys) are two thick sticks you knock together.  Rooted in Latin and Cuban music, clave patterns keep the band on beat by playing the off beats, or between notes.

 

Fashioned in the traditional Latin American shape and made fom a renewable hardwood source!  As palm trees grow old, coconute production drops.  So, each year many are removed from the fields to make room for the new growth, and these are turned over to the artisans that work with wood.
