How Do I Know This Music is Good for Kids? | For each release, Putumayo Kids’ music experts choose songs with child-friendly lyrics and rhythms by both renowned and undiscovered international artists. Putumayo Kids tests songs in the field with real kids and parents. The international music selection contributes to the education of future global citizens while holding true to Putumayo’s mission of sharing music that is “guaranteed to make you feel good.”
Every year, Putumayo Kids CDs receive many national honors, including awards from Parents’ Choice, National Parenting Publications (NAPPA), Oppenheim Toy Portfolio and American Library Association Notable Recordings for Children. What is Putumayo Kids Educational Commitment? | Thousands of elementary school teachers and more than 300,000 students use Putumayo Multicultural Activity Kits and CDs in the classroom. Putumayo has also provided multicultural teacher training programs to school districts. The company has donated thousands of CDs and kits to schools and various causes. For each new Putumayo Kids release, at least one percent of Putumayo’s proceeds benefits relevant non-profit groups that support children, families, schools and other charities. |
